Dental

A pet’s dental health is very important as periodontal disease is the most common ailment affecting dogs and cats. Pets are just as likely to acquire illnesses and plague build up as their human owners. It can seriously affect a pet’s health and well being as it is painful and can inhibit proper nutrition. It may also lead to a serious systemic issue which can affect your pet’s health before you are aware of symptoms.

At Canton Veterinary Clinic we offer dental services such as oral exams, cleanings and tooth extraction.

Also available for preventative care is Hills T/D dental food, dental hygiene chews, toothbrushes for your cat or dog and toothpaste.

Ultrasound

Pet Ultrasound is a non-invasive procedure that allows us to examine and view your pet’s abdominal organs and heart. Ultrasound allows us to see the heart and organs in real time and the sound wave and electrical impulses are recorded and mechanically translated into an image. This allows us to examine the image to determine your pet’s condition.

Most people are familiar with friends who have had echocardiograms (heart) or with women who have had baby ultrasound (sonogram) pictures.
